Contribution to Culture Awards

Nominations for the 2013 Contribution to Culture Awards are being accepted now through December 15, 2012. These awards will be presented at our Awards Celebration on February 19, 2013. Please send your nominations to bentoncoalition@gmail.com by December 15, 2012. Your nomination should include why you are nominating the person and the name and e-mail address of a contact person who can provide details about your nominee’s service.

The BCCC’s vision is to promote an active cultural life throughout Benton County with high-quality cultural experiences, accessible to everyone. The grants we award are the primary way we promote this vision.

However, high-quality cultural experiences are made possible by the support of artists, musicians, historians, volunteers, and organizations.  Few organizations can afford to pay professionals to write their grant applications, answer phones, create art, perform music, restore historical sites, preserve records and or complete the myriad of tasks that enrich our cultural lives.

We believe that those who work behind the scenes to create the events and to support our cultural organizations should also be recognized, for they enhance the cultural experience we all enjoy.

Therefore we recognize these unsung heroes with our annual Contribution to Culture award.
