Revision-Process
Explanation
The
Oregon Cultural Trust distributes one-third of its funds
to Oregon’s 36 counties and nine federally recognized
tribes. In order to be eligible to receive the funds, each
county and tribe must create a cultural plan. The Trust
requires that the plan must be revised every five years.
The
original Benton County Cultural Plan was revised
during the 2007–2008 fiscal year. In order to do
a thorough job of revising the Plan, the Benton County
Cultural Coalition used a process of soliciting
information from groups and individuals in Benton County.
The resulting input was used by the Coalition to strengthen
the existing Plan in order to better serve the cultural
needs of the county and further the goals of the Trust.
